About Your Trainer

Samantha is a graduate and former instructor of CATCH Canine Trainers Academy: a state-licensed, 10-phase certification course in dog behavior and training. With an undergraduate degree in psychology, Samantha taught hundreds of students the ins and outs of becoming a professional dog trainer while running her own pet-sitting and dog walking business. Certified in Dog Training Knowledge, Samantha specializes in interpreting dog behavior to give humans and their dogs the tools they need to communicate and learn together more effectively.

Like many people, Samantha has always adored dogs. What’s not to love about them? Dogs always live in the moment. They are never spiteful or hold grudges. Their loyalty is only outmatched by their unconditional love. There is so much that we can learn from our dogs, but a lot can get lost in translation. Oftentimes the things that make us crazy for our dogs can also be what drives us a little crazy.

To better speak dog, Samantha will help you understand how dogs behave, think and learn. By becoming aware of the ways that you behave around your dog, you can also become clearer and more sensible to them. Once you start seeing and understanding your dog as they are, you will be able to better understand what your dog wants from and understands of you.

Using positive reinforcement, Samantha strives to make training accessible and relatable to everyone, while solving behavioral problems with the least invasive, most humane, and effective methods possible. Whether you’re looking to start off on the right paw with your new puppy, or want to improve your current dog’s manners, Samantha will help you unleash your dog’s good side!
